That's right, kids. Welcome to my tub of sexy / crap / whatever-floats-y'alls-boats. I didn't want my IMVU shenanigans to interfere with my main blog. Yes, I am TurtleTrainer.

I switched back to my chalk brush for vin’s and xandra’s photos, which is why they look so much messier than Infinitas’ painting.

I get quite a few questions about where I find my stock images that are used in live previews so here’s a list of my favourite (all can be found on the resources page). Most of these are free to use on personal and commercial projects but double check the licenses before use.

I finally got my lazy ass to finish them!!

For iFrames

I finally got my lazy ass to finish them!!

Tutorial: slimScroll (simple, color-customizable scroll bars) for DIV layouts
Difficulty: Easy
Prerequisites: This tutorial requires only basic knowledge of HTML, but you need to know how to create and code layouts.
Intro: If you have ever encountered one of my layouts, you have probably noticed that I use different, colorful scroll bars; if you have not seen them before, you can check out the nifty scrollbars here. I was recently asked how to use those scroll bars in a layout, and then I decided that I may as well release the tutorial for everyone to use. Please note that I did not develop the slimScroll. I am merely creating a tutorial that is put in simpler terms—albeit slightly lengthy and verbose—and is more relevant to IMVU’s purposes. The original tutorial can be found here. All rights belong to Piotr Rochala @ http://rocha.la. Show some common courtesy and give credit to Rochala when using the slimScroll, please?
Example:

Notes:
This tutorial is divided into two sections: using the slimScroll on iFrames and then on DIVs. View the section that is more relevant to your needs. The iframe section can be found here [click].
You do NOT not need a Webs, Webstarts, Altervista, etc. account to use these scrollbars on DIVs.
As always, do not hesitate to contact me (GASR would be best) should you require any assistance with this tutorial or with anything in general. I hope more people can put this tutorial to good use. Thanks for reading! -TurtleTrainer

Anonymous asked: Hello turtletrainer. I found your tutorials so helpful, and I was wondering when you can put the custom scroll tutorials for divs?

Oh wow. I completely forgot to make that. LOL. I’ll try to find some time this weekend to make it.

Thanks for using my tutorials and reminding me!

If 18 or 20 palettes wasn’t enough, I present to you: my 100 Palette Challenge! This is a collection of some of my favourite palettes from color-palettes and Adobe Kuler and I thought it would be really fun to have a huge variety of palettes to chose from
If you would like to participate in this challenge, I ask that you DO NOT repost this anywhere else, including deviantART; please REBLOG this instead! I have the challenge uploaded to deviantART as well, so please check it out there if you want to do it on deviantART!

I’m not actually going to do these, I just want to save all the pallets somewhere.

TurtleTrainer's new folder of free files →

Since CX.com is planning to delete my account after June 30, I decided to move all of my free files to a dropbox account. I have also updated all of my posts that contain any file sharing, e.g., free layout files and skin templates.

After June 30, none of my CX files will work. If you see anyone complaining about any of my broken links, please link them to this post or my blog so they may access the updated links and files.

oh yeah i made this for myself a few weeks ago
wow it’s been like 3-4 years since i’ve done an avatar edit
